Ask Mind

Answers that show their sources, and say what they don't know.

Ask about the page you're on. Answers mark which sources are yours and which are public, and say so when your data has nothing.

Sources

Your data first. Then the public web.

Open the panel beside any page (⌘J), or the full page with your chats. On a feature, a story or a problem, the panel answers about that item.

  • A strip on every answer says where it came from: yours, public, or both.
  • A page from your own site is never counted as evidence.
  • While Mind works, the panel shows each step from its real tool calls.

Mind

Know what you don't know.

AI tools tend to agree with you. Mind shows you what argues against you before it agrees, and says plainly when it has nothing.

  • What argues against itIf Mind agrees, its first line is the strongest piece of your own data against you.
  • What would change this answerWhen your data has nothing on a question, Mind says so, and what to add.
  • The bracketed numbers are yoursMind gives you the method; the numbers are yours. It never sets a price, a target or a deadline for you.
  • MindBacklog doesn't do thatWhen MindBacklog can't do something, Mind says so and points you to what does exist.
Big moments

It joins things up when it matters.

When a competitor launches, a number drops, or you're about to raise or pivot, Mind joins your customers, your record and your market. You get one sourced answer.

  • A competitor's change comes with how many of your people mention them.
  • A trial drop comes with what happened around it: "same time, not proven cause".
  • Weighing a pivot: your stop rule against your evidence. Mind never predicts success.

Memory

What Mind knows, and plainly what it doesn't.

Before you start, Mind shows what it knows about your product, and what it doesn't. The page keeps doing that, with sources, read dates and gaps.

  • Each gap is found by rule and comes with a link to fix it.
  • Mind asks before it remembers something. Nothing is saved until you say yes.
  • Pick a date on Decisions and see what your workspace held that day.

Decks

Ask for a deck. Every number carries its source.

It opens beside the chat as slides, each with its sources. A number with no source says "Source not recorded".

  • Save it as a document, and it sits in Build › Documents.
  • Export any document as Word, and a deck as editable PowerPoint.

Questions

Questions about Ask Mind

Something else? Search the help center or email us.

Is Mind ever wrong?

Yes, it can be. The checks make it visible. Mind quotes word for word, flags numbers it can't source, and labels sources yours or public. It says "not found in what we read" rather than guessing.

Does Mind use my corrections?

Tell Mind what's right once; later answers on the same subject use it, dated, in your workspace only. Learning across customers is off.

Does Ask Mind send my data to a search engine?

No. Ask Mind never sends a search provider what it read from your workspace. Within one answer, once Mind has read your feedback it does not search the web.

Does it store what it reads from my other tools?

No. With Ask on for your Notion, PostHog, Amplitude or GitHub, Mind looks it up while answering, and the answer says "live from {tool}, not stored". Nothing is kept, and it never counts as evidence. Ask comes with Growth and Scale.

What reaches the AI models?

Mind's AI gets a key like C-12, never a name or email from People; words people wrote reach it as written. Every request to our AI gateway asks for providers that keep no data. Your data is never used to train AI models.

Ask something your data can answer.

Or something it can't. Either way Mind tells you which, and shows you where every line came from.
