Every person who paid, wrote in or talked, on one page.

Who paid, who wrote in, who talked with you: every touch dated and sourced, and whether you may contact them. Not a CRM.

Getting in

Only people who interacted with you.

Every customer from Stripe, feedback senders with an email and people from your calls. Never a CRM's whole contact list.

One person per email

Someone already in People with that address is linked, never duplicated. Edit someone's name and it stays yours: no sync overwrites it.

Add one with a line

Type a name, what they do and how to reach them. MindBacklog keeps only what you typed and never looks anyone up.

Shown, never counted

Friends, family, investors and advisors appear in the list but never count toward a belief or a problem.

Grow: revenue and retention from the same Stripe

A person

One person, every touch, on one timeline.

Mind's read of a person is written from what you hold, never by AI. Chips say Paying, Trial, Talked to or Opted out, each with its source and date.

When it ships, tell the people who asked

  • Every touch on one timeline: feedback, calls, emails and payments, each dated.
  • Each purpose you may contact them for, and whether they opted out.
  • Contact limits: by default, at most two emails per person in 30 days.
Ideal customer

Your ideal customer as a living profile.

Your ideal customer as a living profile: every line says whether it's proven or still a belief. Your main segment comes first.

N people · Past pain · 12 Oct
A pain linked to a problem, counted from this segment's people.
N sources
A line Mind drafted, counted from the feedback and conversations it cites.
N paying accounts · Pays
From Stripe, only in aggregate and only from three accounts.
Public page
A competitor's own site, never evidence about your customers.
Your belief, not yet tested
Everything else.

Find people

Find the people who already showed the pain.

Pick a belief with a problem behind it. Mind lists the people whose own feedback showed the pain and who aren't on your list yet.

From your feedback

Invite up to ten as one plan, each with a draft for you to send. Nobody is looked up or enriched.

Where to find more of them

Mind searches public pages for communities and forums where those people gather, each dated. Places, never people, and never evidence.

What we keep from Stripe, and never keep

Kept

  • The email
  • The first name and last initial ("Jane D.")
  • Plan
  • Payments

Never kept

  • The full last name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Tax id
  • Card

Stripe customers become people, keeping only the email, first name and last initial, plan and payments. Never kept: the full last name, address, phone, tax id or card. Mind's AI gets a key like C-12, never a name or email from People; words people wrote reach it as written. Personal details can be cleared.

What else we keep, and what is not confirmed yet

Questions

Questions about People

Something else? Search the help center or email us.

Is People a CRM?

No. People is for research and closing the loop: no enrichment, no outside lookups, no contact lists. Only people who wrote to you, talked with you or paid you become people, never a whole contact list.

Why is a Stripe customer missing from People?

They have no email in Stripe, they are one of your own team's or a noreply address, they opted out, or they were erased. Customers arrive on the daily read; Sync now on the Stripe tile reads again.

Does a sync overwrite a name I edited?

No. Edit someone's name and it stays yours: no sync overwrites it. One person per email: someone already in People with that address is linked, never duplicated, and a matching name alone never links two people.

Does it look people up anywhere?

No. Add a person with one line and MindBacklog keeps only what you typed. Find people lists only your own users whose feedback showed the pain. Where to find more of them names public places (communities, forums, groups), never people.

Can I delete someone?

Yes. Erase a person from their page: their name, email, facts and drafts are deleted. Their words stay anonymous and stop counting, and they never come back from a sync. Settings › Privacy clears everyone a source brought in, in one step.

Know who your users are.

Connect Stripe with a restricted key, or drop in a CSV. Every person lands on one page.
