How To Use This Bank

Don't run all 50. Pick 3–7 questions for one use case, write them yourself in the customer's language, and ship. The single best survey is short and arrives at the right moment — not long and "comprehensive."

  • Survey-fatigue rule: <2 minutes total time. That's roughly 5–7 questions if one is open-ended.
  • Always include one open-ended question. Numbers tell you "what" — the open response tells you "why." It's where the gold is.
  • Trigger off behavior, not calendar. Day-7 activation survey fires when the user has used the product for 7 days — not 7 days after signup.
  • Tag responses as signals. One churn-exit response = one signal. In MindBacklog you can route survey responses to the same triage queue as Slack and support tickets.
