Data Import & Export (CSV)

Importing Features from CSV

Bulk-create features by uploading a CSV file. The Import CSV button is available on the Intelligence Hub and Roadmap pages.

  • Max file size: 5 MB
  • Max rows per import: 50
  • At least one column must be mapped to Title (required)

Import Steps

Step 1 — Upload

Select Target & Upload

Choose the target bucket (Intelligence Hub or Roadmap) and upload your .csv file.

Step 2 — Map & Preview

Column Mapping

MindBacklog auto-detects column mappings using fuzzy matching (e.g., "Feature Name" → Title). Adjust mappings manually if needed. Preview the first 5 rows.

Step 3 — Results

Review Import Summary

See created features and any issues. Skipped rows (duplicates, missing titles) are listed with explanations.

💡
Edge Cases Handled Automatically

Invalid statuses default to the bucket's default. Unknown product areas are auto-created. Invalid T-shirt sizes, unrecognized owners/teams, and unparseable dates are safely ignored. Duplicate titles are skipped.

Supported Import Fields

Title (required), Summary, Problem Statement, Business Value, Status, T-Shirt Size, Estimated Days, Product Area, Owner, Team, Planned Start/End Date, and Tags (comma-separated).

Exporting Features

Export features from either bucket (Intelligence Hub or Roadmap) as CSV. Look for the export/download button on the page. Exported columns include: Key, Title, Summary, Status, Bucket, Product Area, Owner, Team, T-Shirt Size, Estimated Days, Dates, Tags, Signal Count, and Created Date.

You can filter by status before exporting — e.g., export only "In Progress" features from the Roadmap.

Exporting Stories & Bugs

From a feature's detail page, export all child stories and bugs as CSV. Includes Key, Type, Title, Description, Status, Priority, Story Points, Severity, Acceptance Criteria, Owner, and more.

Exporting Chat Conversations

Ask Mind conversations can be exported as Markdown files. Open a conversation and use the export option to download as .md with timestamps. Great for sharing AI analysis with team members.
