Tracker — Stories & Bugs
Overview
The Tracker is MindBacklog's development execution layer. User stories and bugs are managed through their lifecycle — from draft through development, QA, and done.
How to get there: Click Tracker in the left sidebar (after Roadmap).
The Tracker only appears in the sidebar if it's been enabled in Product Settings (General tab → Enable Tracker toggle). If you use Jira or Linear for dev tracking, you may not need this.
How to Enable the Tracker
Go to Product Settings
Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar (gear icon), then click Product Settings (Admin only).
Enable the Toggle
On the General tab, find the "Enable Tracker" toggle and turn it on.
Work Item Types
| Type | Fields | Purpose |

Statuses
Stories and bugs progress through 7 status columns:
Draft → Ready → In Progress → Ready for QA → In QA → Waiting Acceptance → Done (or "Resolved" for bugs)

How to Create Stories & Bugs
Stories and bugs are typically created from a feature's detail page, not directly from the Tracker:
Open a Feature
Go to any feature's detail page and navigate to the Stories tab.
Add Story or Bug
Click "Add Story" or "Add Bug" and fill in the details.
Use the Generate Stories button on a feature to have the AI automatically break it down into user stories with descriptions, acceptance criteria, and story points. Costs 2 AI credits (free on Growth/Scale).
