Product Settings
How to get there: Open the Settings menu (gear icon) at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Product Settings. Requires Admin role.
General Tab
- Product Name & Description — Edit the product's display name and description
- Industry & Target Audience — Update these to help AI context
- Lifecycle Mode — Toggle between Concept Mode and Active Mode. This dramatically alters how the AI engines process your data. Concept Mode ignores relevance filtering to encourage broad market mining, while Active Mode strictly triages live churn risks. Learn more about Lifecycle Modes.
- Enable Tracker — Toggle to show/hide the Tracker page in the sidebar
Do not flip your live product into Concept Mode just to "test an idea." This will poison your active intelligence pipeline with exploratory data. If you want to explore a new market, create a separate Product in your organization explicitly set to Concept Mode.
Product Areas
Product Areas group features by functional area (e.g., "Onboarding," "Analytics," "Billing"). Create, rename, and delete areas here. Features can have one product area assigned.
Set up 5–8 product areas that match your product's structure. Too few means everything is grouped together; too many fragments your view. Examples: Core Platform, Integrations, Analytics, Billing, Onboarding, Mobile, API.
Tags
Tags are flexible labels for cross-cutting concerns: "Q1 Priority," "Enterprise," "Mobile-Only," "Quick Win." Features can have multiple tags. Create tags from here or inline when editing features.
Teams
Represent engineering/design teams (e.g., "Platform Team," "Mobile Team"). Assign teams to features for workload planning. The Roadmap Timeline view groups features by team.
Users
Manage product-level access. Users who have organization access still need product-level roles to interact with specific products. Roles: Admin, Editor, Viewer.
Portal Tab
Configure the Public Portal for this product. Toggle it on/off, set the URL slug, customize title/description, and control voting and submission settings. See the Public Portal article for details.
Danger Zone
At the bottom of settings, the Danger Zone allows you to delete the product. This is irreversible — all features, signals, stories, bugs, and context are permanently removed. Requires confirmation.
Deleting a product cannot be undone. Export your data first if you might need it later.
